Welcome to my medley of thoughts!
Social Media Consultant addicted to coffee, anything Apple, Viktor Frankl, Web 2.0 concepts… Dreamer, Ontologist, Existentialist, fascination with the human mind…
I love to write – in fact, I’ve always loved to write. When I was younger, it was a way to get through classes without effort, but in time I have used my writing to express my thoughts and help others; ultimately writing has allowed me to be different. Time has shown me highs, lows, love, and hate – one thing I will always be is a kid at heart!
I’ve always thrived on the fact that I consider myself an intellectual and found myself at an early age enjoying various psychology disciplines – I especially fancy Existential Psychology. Some of the finest literary works that I have studied were written by famous Existential Psychologists. My favorite, Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl, carries a very special place in my life. The experiences of Frankl transcend through his words:
A thought transfixed me: for the first time in my life I saw the truth as it is set into song by so many poets, proclaimed as the final wisdom by so many thinkers. The truth — that love is the ultimate and the highest goal to which man can aspire. Then I grasped the meaning of the greatest secret that human poetry and human thought and belief have to impart:The salvation of man is through love and in love. I understood how a man who has nothing left in this world still knows bliss, be it only for a brief moment, in the contemplation of his beloved.
Why do I write – to free my mind, like Frankl, in hopes of helping someone through difficult times. I believe that life is more colorful in black and white, which is why some of the images are without color. It allows one to imagine and paint a picture however they wish…
Last, but certainly not least, I confess very boldly that I am a Christian. And from time to time, I may write about things on my site that I won’t apologize for – most of which will include my spiritual life and my walk with God. Over the past eight years, my faith in God has changed me in ways that I cannot even begin to describe. I owe it all to the fact that I am no longer living for myself, rather for God. I have been blessed with a beautiful wife Nicole, and three wonderful children named Hannah, Ashley, and John.
